Many call this road also the Stelvio, but basically it is the Umbrail Pass coming from Switzerland and connecting with the Stelvio Pass.

If the Stelvio Pass is overwhelmed by the crowd of crazy motorcyclists and / or bikers, you can find peace, calm and pleasure on this road. It's one of the highest roads of Switzerland (I think, even the highest) but not as known as Grimsel, Gotthard and the other Swiss Kings. Surface is poor, as this road has nearly no importance for Switzerland. But every year parts of the road get new tarmac - now there's no gravel-track anymore. The road is narrow in the beginning and wide versus the end. The views are not spectacular, like the ones you get on the Stilfser Joch, but you can enjoy your ride, concentrate on the road, and you're not disturbed of crazy racers.
