beautiful scenery but quite some traffic in high season

Wonderful surroundings, very nice twisty road, but in high season (summer) you can hit some touristy traffic. Try early autumn or early mornings / late afternoons

Like the Maloja, the Oberjochpass is a "one side" pass. It has only one ramp leading up from Bad Hindelang in the east to Oberjoch in the west. The top is only at 1135 meter, but the road up there is interesting. There are no sharp hairpins, but some 180° corners with a wider radius. So there´s quite some lean time in these bends. The road is in excellent condition. This all sounds like a lot of fun, but (1) there is a general speed limit of 60 km/h, (2) overtaking is not allowed and (3) the traffic is usually heavy with lots of tourists during the weekends and in summertime. Be careful: Busses and bigger trucks can come across to your lane in the sharper corners. Almost at the top there is a nice viewing platform called "Aussichtspunkt Kanzel" where you can also have a coffee while enjoying the view.
