Smooth curves propel you south from Bonchester Bridge's cosy Horse and Hound pub. High hedgerows crowd in on both sides of the road, before releasing you out onto the open hillside. Long views over the Borders countryside take your eye all the way to England. Pass over a cattle grid and follow the road down into the final valley. This section is incredible, with perfect surface, and delicious corners firing themselves at you one after the other. Stop at the valley bottom and ride this last section again.
