Mennock to Abington via Leadhills. This is the highest pass crossing the Lowther Hills through the Southern Uplands of Scotland. This road is rural, quiet, good tarmac, a narrow B road mostly double track. It passes through Wanlockhead, Scotlands highest village. This road has some dramatic and wild moorland landscapes and views. It is a good link road as part of a tour of Dumfries and Galloway or the Scottish Borders. Enjoy!
