For riders, Sipitang-Tenom road is one of the few favourite twisties in Sabah. The climax is at the 3/4 section of this road. Besides of its renowned twisties, this road is also famous for it's poor road conditions. It is under maintained with potholes, and broken roads. No warning sign or what so ever. 60-70km after the Sipitang roundabout, there is a section of broken gravel road right after a curve. This is the most notorious section of the whole stretch of road. Unfamiliar riders should take extra cautious when riding this route.
