The road starts off from a residential area in Tanjung Tokong (near Straits Quay) and moves through Georgetown onto a Motorway & Toll road then rural/country roads with stop-offs in small cities for some coffee at the oldest charcoal coffee mill in the world Taiping (Aun Tong Sdn. Bhd.), makan food and sightseeing at Taiping Lake Gardens. We added a stop off at Perak Cave (Buddist Temple). It is best to do this trip during the week as the traffic into Cameron Highlands is extremely heavy on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Distance approx. 270km. Time approx. 4hr 30mins
