A 13km toll road that takes you high up into the Alps, at just over 2800M's at one point making it the highest road in the Alps. It's is a spectacular ride, well worth the small charge. It's is very well maintained, with some very fast sweeping parts, and some very tight technical parts. Some parts where there is no edge protection which help to focus ones mind on the task. At the top one arrives at a ski station, deserted in late summer, and too the left there is a tunnel that passes through the mountain, it is emerging from here that you reach 2830M's and the highest point! Views are breath taking in all directions. There is also a little chapel, easily reached by gravel road, that enjoys views back down the over the Glacier Road back towards the village of Ötztal. If youre passing, I think it's well worth the detour.
