The Osa Peninsula is "The Most Biologically Intense Place on Earth," holding 2.5% of the world’s biodiversity in one tiny area. I suggest visiting both sides of the peninsula to get the full experience. The roads are a mixture of paved and gravel, but the real adventure is on the East side, where you’ll find the rocky coastal tracks. There are plenty of accommodation options and remote, beautiful beaches with uncrowded surf spots.
