Very nice round course with interesting history. The "Grossdeutschlandring" was planned and built from 1933 til 1939 as alternative race track to the Nuerburgring. The track is placed in the middle of the old "German Reich". The course was 10km long and planned to home up to 1.000.000 visitors. Parking capacity was planned for up to 250.000 cars. The opening race should start in 1940 but, due to the second world war, the race never carried out. Only some mountain races in the serpentine part was realized. After the war, the course is used as normal road until now.
