Start from Bucharest and ride for about an hour to Targoviste (former Wallachia's capital). Visit Turnul Chindiei (old citadel) and Dealu Monstery built in 1499 (tomb of Mihai VIteazu's head). Then follow national road DN71 towards Glod Village (Borat movie was made here). Here you can meet gypsy culture. Follow road 714 toward Hotel Pestera. You will start climbing. Twisty road with beautiful panoramas from time to time. if you take left at first and second crossroads this will lead you to beautiful Scropoasa Lake and chalet - good condition off road for most motorcycles types -beware of brown bears). If you don't want to go there continue to the 3rd cross road and take left to Pestera Hotel. Twisty road with ups and downs Zanoaga Chalet - Bolboci Dam and Lake - Pestera Hotel - . You reach Padina Plateau - nice panorama to Bucegi Mountains. You can visit Ialomicioara Cave - Ialomita River's spring. After that turn back on the same road 714, until the crossroad with 713A - follow the last one to Paduchiosu Peak. Twist, alpine road, wonderful panorama over the the entire South, Prahova Valley and Baiul Mare Mountains. Descent for half an hour to Sinaia (summer residence of the first Hohenzollern king of Romania). Here you can visit the Peles Castel, The Old Casino, The Royal Train Station. Optional twisty road to Cota 1400 (1400 meters altitude). From Sinaia follow national road DN1 -via Busteni (nice view towards Caraiman Peak, and beautiful Cantacuzino Palace). Stay on the road till the entrance in Predeal. Take left to Paraul Rece, Rasnov, Bran. Follow twisty road and 180 degrees curves till big cross road. Take left to Bran. Visit Bran Castle (Dracula) and follow european road E574 to Moeciu de Jos. Reach coordinates 45.502404, 25.334301 and take right on local road 58 towards Magura Village. Pay attention - ascending road with great panorama (to Piatra Craiului and Bucegi Mountains) and very nice people. Descend to Prapastiile Zarnestilor -Gura Raului - Zarnesti. You can visit Zarnesti Canyon (only by walk -nice experience). From Zarnesti follow the road to Plaiul Foii (destination) at the base of Piatra Craiului Mountains. Gorgeous landscapes and lots of accommodation.
