From alcácer relaxing, no traffic, good tarmac, wide open spaces, lots of Eucalyptus on to N2 which is really fun as of Amlodovar to Vaqueiros, again with no traffic, then onto B/maybeC roads from vaqueiros to Tavira along tops of hills with great views. Some excellent local eating places along the way, cheap and v.good. Carpe Diem.
