And Bratislava delivered. Been there before just for a few hours. This time for two nights. We rent an apartment, 40 minutes walking distance from the center. And just across the street I have eaten the best burger so far. ( either were we hungry, but my metalhead friend confirmed with a full mouth, nodding : "No.....it's....awesome" I could hear between chewing" :)) ....must i mention that there was also beer ?! Not many but surely not just one :))...And this was the same in both evenings. Addiction to that burger. Next day we rode to Budapest. We saw on google maps that there's a road that winds for a good part along the Danube....on some dams...and thought..."Hey , that might be a sight one could get used to , while riding....well...as I should have suspected.....after crossing the dam, and turning right ,along the Danube...one could see only a high dike, running between the road and the river. At one point the road crosses on the other side of the Danube ( again, on a dam ) where we took a short break, at which point my friend asks confused: :"Weren't we supposed to see some water along the way" :) All in all....the kilometers , for me at least, and for the other two ( my girlfriend - the pillion, and the metalhead trip partner ) were starting to get longer, and longer; the heat, unbearable. I knew the reason : trip was coming to an end. We had rented a triple room in a pension on the outskirts of Budapest. It is a beautiful place....not quite easy to reach - narrow streets, with steep climbing areas - but we made it. The next day we were riding home to Timisoara ( RO ) no need to mention the heat, the boring feeling of a straight highway....
