The famous side is the south side as it is featured on about every picture of the pass you find on the internet. The back side (Bormio side) is however also rather pretty. We have split the Passo in 2 on the website as like this it allows you to include it in a route to Switzerland or towards Bormio. When on the top, don't forget to have a sausage at Richard's stand.
