The famous side is the south side as it is featured on about every picture of the pass you find on the internet. The back side (Bormio side) is however also rather pretty. We have split the Passo in 2 on the website as like this it allows you to include it in a route to Switzerland or towards Bormio. When on the top, don't forget to have a sausage at Richard's stand. He's The Original!

..would not describe it as the "Trento" side, 'cause Trento is about 150 km far. It's the "South Tyrolean" side ;-)

A good road, a must do. But what I liked the most was the views... they're breath taking.

This is my favorite road - one of the highest in the Alps and the highest in Italy. Dramatic landscapes, even after 20 years of motorcycling. Dramatic curves (48 from Spondinig to the Pass), everytime i climb the "Stilfser Joch". I love it, especially at 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning, when there is only the road, fresh, clean air, my motorcycle and me..
