This 55-mile road between La Sal (Utah) and Naturita (Colorado) will take you along Mount Peale (12,000 feet - 3870m)). The Utah side is a large plateau that is home to many cattle. There are ranches there that give a more rural feel. The Colorado side is wilder and more desert-like.
