From Vancouver to Hope BC take the #1 or #7 Highway; from to Skagit Valley and Ross Lake is a gravel road along a river (good for fishing) , watch forestry trucks on week days, deers, and other wild animals, plus horse riders. Mosquitos may eat you alive so bring anti-mosquito spray and maybe something for the bears. If you want cross the international boarder a passport can by handy.
