Another fantastic stretch of road. Narrow, not too safe but the scenery is so beautiful that you automatically slow down and enjoy the views. Higher up (coming from the D18 eastbound) it's open, with flowing bends and shorter semi-straights in between. Lower down, near the town of Larrau, there's more vegetation and trees. Road surface is acceptable (not the best, like most of the French Pyrenees asphalt). I've got this stretch on video (that is: the eastbound stretch down to Larrau) on Youtube: see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GhSvOWl_9A if you want (or search for Burdincurucheta Larrau). Enjoy!

At this road (did east-west) we the bikers are just guests, as sheeps and cyclist claimed it by themselves. Even do, it doesn't undermine at all the beautiness of this place.
