Start with the awesome view up and down the coast from Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse. Perched 700 meters above sealevel, the view is stunning. Drive through the village of, and drive down a magical road winding through eucalyptus forests, with the sea visible between the trees. As you approach Porto Moniz, be ready for some gut-wrenching views as you descend countless hairpin turns, looking out over the endless ocean and the small village of Porto Moniz, before you arrive at the old harbour. Now is a good time to grab some lunch in one of the local fish-restaurants, before you continue along the north coast.
