Starting at Devon Wheels 2 Work, where they run regular ride-outs, this route takes you on a relatively short but stunning "local loop" which a majority of local riders use and know well. Taking in the stunning scenery of the Torridge area of Devon from Holsworthy to Bideford on the A388 then at Bideford take the A39 and head towards Hartland, which the local riders refer to as the "twisties" with some amazing hairpin bends. Twice a year the village of Hartland run a Hill Climb in association with the NHCA, well worth a visit! After the "twisties" the road then runs parallel with the North Cornwall Coast, also called the Atlantic Highway, where the scenery is simply stunning. Head into Bude and stop at the Canal car park and visit the Lock Gates Tea Rooms who run a bike night every second Wednesday evening, Then pop back along the A3072 to Holsworthy and then back to Devon Wheels 2 Work where the team will be happy to welcome you with a free tea or coffee.
