Road is a relatively fast and flowing one until starting to head down towards the artificial lake of Caniçada. After the village of Gerês the road turns into a mountainous one with some hairpins and passing through forest and woods. Avoidable during summer months as it is usually crowded in some segments. Last 5km have restrictions and are subject to payment (1,5€) during that same period (1Jun to 30Sep).
