The Sierra of Gerês (Parque Nacional da Peneda Gerês) is the bigger natural area protected in Portugal. Is part of districts of Braga and Vila Real and other part in Spain. What you will see: During the ride is possible admire the green trees, blue waterfalls, colorful flowers, cows and sheeps grazing and with some luck, savage horses. Where you will go: Braga, Terras de Bouro, Câmpo do Gerês, Dam Vilarinho das Furnas, Soajo, Catedral of Nossa Senhora da Peneda Gerês, Lamas de Mouro, Melgaço. Best season: Spring, because the colors of hills is more vivid, the waterfalls are more strong, the days is more big and temperatures are between 15º and 25º celcius. Note: If possible make a detour until Castro Laboreiro.
