Videographer and photographer from Latvia. The outdoorsy type. Only recently in the world of motorcycling, but hard at work of catching up on all the epic rides. Do believe that an adventure bike opens up so much more in ways of exploring any country, because, you know, the backroads. It doesn't have to be hardcore off-road, but I highly recommend a bike that can cope with gravel.

Rugged Andalusia coast

While spending a winter in Andalusia (living in Nerja), used this road a lot. Although the highway that runs next to it is much faster, this is much more fun - lot's of sweeping bends and epic coastal views. This is the best coastal road in whole of Andalusia. Popular with bikers, but watch out for flying speed cameras (they do that in Spain). Check out the motorcyclist bar (kind of 'Route 66') on that road for a nice burger.

Road to Comares

Don't skip the Comares village! A great leg-stretcher and coffee-stop with 360 views of Andalusia from mountains to the sea. Walk around the tiny and steep walkways all around the village, which has roots in the Arabic age. Lived a month there, would live another.

Carretera de la Cabra

Carretera de la Cabra or mountain goat road. Epic views, but need to stop to see them, because the road demands full attention. There's an abandoned restaurant on the way, good place for a break. Watch out for the oncoming traffic which is rare here, but hence surprises you even more. Also popular with cyclists which don't exactly stick to their lane.

If you're on an adventure or enduro bike, do ride the Gorges d'amejgag that is a shortcut through an epic gorge below the tarmac road that goes over the mountain. No pics from that place, but did a video: https://youtube.com/shorts/nuoYcGJfoe0

Smuggler's path

An interesting way of going to/from Andorra. Somewhere on the interwebs read that the road is closed or private, but had no problems doing it in 2023. Gravel on Spain's side, perfect tarmac on Andorra's.

Epic Picos

The only _legal_ gravel in Picos, but what a road! If coming from Sotres there's a bit harder rocky climb, but otherwise ok. Stay the night in the mountain hotel in the middle of track (needs prior reservation).
