The road remains largely the same as it has since 2010, which means the Leonessa side is terrible (1 Star) the the views are amazing. When you get closer to Monte Terminillo and you get above the tree line, the road surface is much better and by the Rieti side is one of the best roads I've ever ridden (5 star).
Amazing road linking some really cool towns together. SS73 has everything from fast sweepers, to tight and technical. The surface as of 2018 is amazing and has plenty of grip.
I traveled through here in the evening and had the road to myself. Amazing views, good surface, and amazing flowing turns. The flower feilds add to the vistas.
