It is possible to sleep on one of the Mekong islands. For this, you have to join the city of Kratie. Starting from Kampong Cham, we can continue along the Mekong before crossing it via a recent bridge wide enough to stop and take pictures. Kratie is a fairly touristy town: it is easy to find hotels and guesthouses there, and many people speak English.
