This road connects my favorite places in El Salvador and is full of beautiful views.

One must-see destination is Lago de Coatepeque. It is worth visiting because it is a stunning caldera lake often ranked among the most beautiful in the world, known for its deep blue water and dramatic volcanic surroundings. Since there is no public access to the lake, you have to stay in one of the hotels or hostels along its shore.

For overlanders, the most popular choice is Captain Morgan Hostel, which offers great facilities.

Riding around the lake is definitely worth it! A place you can't miss is Hotel Finca Campo Bello. This is a unique spot with igloo-style accommodation, but you can also camp there and use their excellent facilities and amazing pool. The views from there are unbeatable—you get a clear, panoramic view of the volcanos in Cerro Verde National Park!
