Leaving Lugo on the LU530 head towards A Lastra to pick up the LU701 towards A Forsagrada, from here onto Grandas picking up the AS14 where the route drops down by a Dam across the 'Embalse de Salime' only to climb again to cross the Palo Pass. These are some of the best roads that I had the pleasure to ride, from running along the top of a mountains chain, dropping down into valleys, climbing again to big sweeping vistas with a stunning ribbon of tarmac and hardly any other traffic (End of September 2019).
