Island of La Réunion From Saint Pierre to Hell Bourg, first with the N3. After Bourg Murat, crossing the Plaine des Caffres, the scenery is amazing, looking like Irish fields surrounded by cones of sleepy volcanoes. It's pine forests for a few kilometres and then without warning it's the African forests with endemic species all the way down to la Plaine des Palmistes. After Saint Benoit, a few kilometres of highway with a view onto the Indian ocean, then it's the D48 after St André. There is a small baptism for the rider and the bike, as a stream ends up from the cliffs all the way onto the road. A beautiful and pleasant ride, with just a couple of very tight curves, all the way to Hell Bourg, which is a small paradise!
