On the SP 72 from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana to Passo delle Radici, towards Sassuolo on SP 324 and then on the SP 486R. The road leads to 1,550 meters of altitude of an Apennine pass that connects Tosco-Emiliano regions. The road surface is in good condition even if it has some abnormalities at certain points. Anyway, going up and down to the sinuous bends in the wonder of autumn colours makes driving very enjoyable and certainly there are beautiful views of the Apuane Alps.
