The N222 is a road that connects "Vila Nova de Gaia" to "Almendra" always next to the Douro river. Along this route (226 km) we can find excellent panoramic views and typical restaurants. Considered the "World Best Driving Road" (Peso da Régua -> Pinhão).

More than just the vineyards.

There is no despicable section along this road. I blame myself for being late to my final destination (Porto) as otherwise I could have enjoyed more going through the little riverside villages, way before reaching the urban area. Even do, it was a sublime experience.
