Superb road for heading North - South (or vice versa) in Spain, West of Madrid. Great variety and not too busy. Sweeping turns, forests, great views it really is a super way to make distance. Worth incorporating in tours of Spain or larger North - South. Bits of it are worth the journey of themselves. Of note around half way is the Castillo of Puebla de Alcocer> it has wonderful views 360 degrees including of the largest reservoir in Spain.
