Start at Exford and follow signs to Portlock turning right at HillHead Cross signpost and left at Portlock Post and follow signs to Stoke Pero. This is a single track road across moorland ending up at Dunkery Beacon ()via Horner which is the highest point on Exmoor and has views over the Bristol channel to Wales. There is a cafe at Horner. There are steep climbs but nothing that the Honda 500 cbx couldn't handle
