Departure from Busalla, still with the coffee swirling in my head and the bike pawing. Direction? Mountains, of course! You soon leave civilisation behind to plunge into a labyrinth of secondary roads, the beautiful ones, the ones that make you forget time. After the first hairpin bends, here is Valbrevenna: green, isolated, with that peace that only small villages can give. Just beyond my track, for those who have never been there, the Panchina Gigante di Crocefieschi invites you to a panoramic stop: a plunge into the space and greenery of the Ligurian Apennines. The route climbs towards the Parco dell'Antola, one of Liguria's hidden gems. Wide bends, asphalt that alternates between perfect stretches and a few pitfalls (eh, we're in Liguria... you never get bored!), but the panorama repays every little bump. Here the air becomes crisp, the scent of the forest enters your helmet and, for a moment, it feels like being in another era. Then down towards Torriglia, a land of history and legend: this is where the famous canestrelli are born, and it is enough for a gastronomic pit-stop. The SP45, a historic road linking Genoa to the Trebbia Valley, will only be a short stretch before we enter the hinterland. And here we are at the Passo del Portello, one of those names that rings true among motorcyclists. Wide bends, a road that climbs through dense woods and the feeling of being far from everything. Here the riding becomes more technical, the road surface is not always perfect, but that is what makes it all the more fun. Once at the top, a quick stop to breathe in the fresh air and admire the view over the valley. Then downhill, letting the bike slide through the bends and a smile under the visor. But the best is yet to come: the road heads straight for the Scoffera Pass, one of the best-known routes among motorcyclists in the area. Here the asphalt improves, the roadway widens and the riding pace becomes smoother. The Scoffera is a historic passage, once an essential communication route between the coast and the hinterland, and today a land of bends and bends for those who love to ride. At Struppa you head north again, and there it is: the infamous Curva del Perdono. An evocative name, almost a warning: a blind, treacherous curve that has tested more than one motorcyclist over the years. Whoever makes a mistake here, asks the road for forgiveness. But if you tackle it with respect and the right pace, it is one of the most beautiful corners on the tour. And right from the centre of this bend, a beautiful panorama opens up over the Ligurian Apennines. A moment to observe it and then off you go, the road beckons. The tour ends in Busalla, drawing a perfect loop. I have already told you about the return trip, but it remains a perfect tour for those who love roads less travelled, authentic villages, and the pleasure of pure driving. Direzione? Montagne, ovviamente! Si lascia presto la civiltà per immergersi in un labirinto di strade secondarie, quelle belle, quelle che ti fanno dimenticare il tempo. Dopo i primi tornanti, ecco la Valbrevenna: verde, isolata, con quella pace che solo i piccoli borghi sanno regalare. Poco più in là della mia traccia, per chi non c’è mai stato, la Panchina Gigante di Crocefieschi invita a una sosta panoramica: un tuffo nello spazio e nel verde dell’Appennino ligure. Si sale verso il Parco dell’Antola, una delle perle nascoste della Liguria. Curve larghe, asfalto che alterna tratti perfetti a qualche insidia (eh, siamo in Liguria… non ci si annoia mai!), ma il panorama ripaga ogni piccolo sobbalzo. Qui l’aria si fa frizzante, il profumo di bosco entra nel casco e, per un attimo, sembra di stare in un’altra epoca. Poi giù, verso Torriglia, terra di storia e leggenda: qui nascono i famosi canestrelli, e tanto basta per un pit-stop gastronomico. La SP45, strada storica che collega Genova alla Val Trebbia, sarà solo un breve tratto prima di addentrarci nell’entroterra. Ed eccoci al Passo del Portello, uno di quei nomi che suona bene tra i motociclisti. Curvoni ampi, strada che si inerpica tra boschi fitti e la sensazione di essere lontano da tutto. Qui la guida si fa più tecnica, il fondo non è sempre perfetto, ma è proprio questo che rende tutto più divertente. Arrivati in cima, una sosta veloce per respirare l’aria fresca e ammirare la vista sulla valle. Poi giù in discesa, lasciando la moto scorrere tra le curve e il sorriso sotto la visiera. Ma il bello deve ancora arrivare: la strada punta dritta al Passo della Scoffera, una delle vie più conosciute tra i motociclisti della zona. Qui l’asfalto migliora, la carreggiata si allarga e il ritmo di guida si fa più fluido. La Scoffera è un passaggio storico, un tempo via di comunicazione essenziale tra la costa e l’entroterra, oggi terra di pieghe e sgasate per chi ama guidare. A Struppa si risale verso nord, ed eccola: la famigerata Curva del Perdono. Un nome evocativo, quasi un monito: una curva cieca, insidiosa, che negli anni ha messo alla prova più di un motociclista. Chi sbaglia qui, chiede perdono alla strada. Ma se la affronti con rispetto e il giusto ritmo, è una delle curve più belle del giro. E proprio dal centro di questa curva si apre un incantevole panorama sugli Appennini liguri. Un attimo per osservarlo e poi via, la strada chiama. Il giro si chiude a Busalla, disegnando un anello perfetto. Del ritorno ho già raccontato, peccato, rimane però un giro perfetto per chi ama le strade meno battute, i borghi autentici e il piacere della guida pura.
