This road is one of the best driving roads of Tenerife in my opinion and I've ridden all of them multiple times. The TF-523's nickname is 'Los Loros', from what I understood named after an old bar along the road which used to be the start/finish in races on this road, the bar is gone though. The road is often used in official rally's, but in evenings and weekends the local 'rally' drivers also like to come out and play. It is most fun when starting from the Arafo side close to sea level as that will take you all the way up onto the Teide mountainridge (TF-24) through countless twisties. The asphalt is perfect and the views are stunning, you will not regret riding this road and will likely turn around for a second go at it!
