Wriggle into the Peaks on this lesser-known single-tracker. New tarmac has recently been laid along the entire route, making it a joy to ride. The initial race away from civilisation takes you south from Midhopestones with dramatic views towards Sheffield, before the first of three stream valleys plunges you towards a dark and wooded bridge crossing. Look out for a village with the unexpected name of Wigtwizzle.
