TransSemenic

Trans Semenic road

Twisty road passing through northern part of Semenic National Park. Starts of near Resita as a narrow forest road, but it opens up as you get closer to Trei Ape lake, which is a great place to take a break. As you exit Brebu Nou village, make sure to check out panorama at the hilltop with stunning views of Semenic mountains. After this point road starts to widen up with few fast sweepers among sharp curves this road is all about! Although asphalt seems pretty new, there are quite a few rough patches, but that does not take out of the fun this road is. Enjoy!

Sutjeska National Park

What a beauty this road is! It stretches through the heart of Sutjeska National Park and follows the river after which the park was named. Driving through the canyon I had a tough time, switching my focus from tight twisties edged by huge walls of rock and magnificent views on the mountain peaks this road is surrounded by. So, I had to ride it twice, once for the riding pleasure, and once to enjoy the views. In addition, in this area an important WWII battle took place, and there is a huge monument left as a testament nearby. Recommend checking it out if you have the time.
