If I had to pick one road from Belize that I enjoyed the most, it was the ride from Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve in San Ignacio to Big Rock Falls.
You start at Cahal Pech, perched on a high hill overlooking town, checking out some of the oldest Maya ruins in Belize. Then, it’s time to lean into it. You leave the highway and hit the scenic, rugged red-dirt roads that climb and wind deep into the Mountain Pine Ridge. It's a great ride through the pine forest. The ultimate prize at the end of that dusty track? Big Rock Falls—a massive, powerful cascade and the perfect, cold jungle swimming hole to shake off the road dust.
