Ometepe Island is definitely worth visiting in Nicaragua. I spent a few days exploring the area. The roads wind around two volcanoes (one of them is still active). It's a mixture of paved and unpaved roads. There's plenty of accommodation options around the island. It's a great spot to take a break and enjoy the island life. Oh, and don't miss the natural swimming hole at Reserva Natural Ojo de Agua!
